Among the Least focuses on three life-giving programs for orphans, widows, and the stranger in our midst. Scripture commands we do.
Through our service, we’ve recognized: orphans need the warmth of families. Widows need the embrace of communities. And sojourners desperately need believers in Jesus to cast out fear and step up in love. Among the Least (AtL) answers this urgent call. We step into this triangle of need with life-extending programs that operate with complete legal integrity.
For centuries, immigration consistently re-shapes with money and political power, leaving human destinies drifting in uncertianty. Yet, God breaks through this system. He empowers His people to stand for justice and fiercely defend legal immigrantion.
For the sojouners, journeys to lawful status are long, grueling roads that take years. Much like adoption, those roads reveal insurmountable potholes of expensive fees, high-stakes court hearings, intense interviews, and overwhelming paperwork. To better guide immigrant families through this maze, our Field Director is now eligible to become a Department of Justice (DOJ) fully Accredited Representative. Meeting these rigorous federal standards is difficult, but it is our calling. We refuse to let immigrant families walk alone.
We are currently taking our next major step: becoming an officially registered organization with the DoJ. This status will equip us for ministry that proudly proclaims the Gospel of truth leading to true freedom.
AtL is not an island. We seek to build bridges to share our vision and goals. Your curiosity about our next step might bring hope to the forgotten. If you want to learn more about how you can help make a difference, we would love to talk with you.
